2 More Litters =) |
|
Well, two of the litters I had been waiting on have arrived! Well, they were actually born last Wednesday, but I couldn't get pics until today (camera probs ).
Tigerlily (Calico) gave birth to 7 babies on August 31st at app. 8am. Then Ivy (Siamese Satin) gave birth to 11 babies at 10pm the same day. Both moms live together, and are raising both litters together. They take turns on who feeds the babies, and sometimes feed them all at the same time. All of the babies are doing great - growing well, and showing very promising colors/markings.
A little info on the breedings: Both breedings were planned to build my Siamese, Calico and Blue lines. Both Moms were bred to Mojo (Blue Variegated) - who has excellent type, and nice large ears (which I breed for).
So, without further ado - here are the first pics (and yes, I know my camera is horrible!)
Tigerlily's litter (pic is missing one little guy):
Litter includes: 2 Black Foxes, 1 Blue Variegated, 1 Calico, 1 almost BEW (light spotting), 1 Silver, and 1 REW. There is a 25% chance of Satin in this litter.
Ivy's litter:
Litter includes: 4 Red Eyed (possibly Himilayan or Siamese), 4 Black Variegated, 1 Black Fox, 1 BEW, and 1 almost BEW (light spotting). There is a 50% chance of Satin in this litter.
And pics of the parents:
Tigerlily (Calico)
Ivy (Siamese Satin - and she hates pics!)
And Dad, Mojo (Blue Variegated)
The babies are currently 6 days old. New pics will be posted at 10 days of age!

Ivy! I've never gotten to see a smeeze mouse in person. Can't wait for the babies to get their fuzz.

LOL! I have a better pic of her...brb
Ah, here we go:
She's a pretty good Siamese - only points she is lacking is her front leg points - her nose, tail base and back legs are all dark....gonna work on darkening up the points in future generations.
Looks like I will have to bring you some Siamese babies one of these days, and maybe even a BEW or two...

That's her saying she wants to come live with me. You can't hear it because you're not her special person. I am. It is true.

OOh, I told her what you wrote and here's what she said:
But she did say she just might let you have a baby or two.

Yeah Brit, you can have one of the Siamese girls - just gotta figure out how to get her to you. I might be making a trip down in a few months...perhaps then? I'll let you know.
And I think there the little Calico baby might just be a merle! I have to wait a little for the coats to fully come in...but as of right now, it looks like a little merle baby!

Thanks so much! Ohhh, I can't wait.
And I LOVE merles. I had a black merle semi-long hair boy a few years ago and he was GORGEOUS. Can't wait for pics.
