All my girls have official names but it seems most of the time I end up calling them some cutesy pet name I have for them like cuddle pumpkins, bruxysnug, marshmallows, sweetie petites, grape soda girls, love nuggets, etc. I have always done this with all pets I have so they end up having so many names. That got me to wondering what funny or cutesy names everyone calls their ratlets. Is your baby a sugar lumpkin, a huggy squish, a kissy poo poo? How about a honey bear or a fluffer hugsalot? Let me hear them no matter how silly. I want to gag on the sweetness of cute names

Well, I have a rat named Gildaro. From Gildaro I got Gil, from which I got Gil Gil, which got slurred to "Goo Goo"and the occasional "cutie" or " baby" is added at the end. Mr. Green

Well, I don't think I use the goo goo names wink

but have little nicknames (variations of their actual names) for most of them. We do lovingly refer to our whole gang of ratties as our "mouses".

I think we started with "Mouses", as at first, it seemed weird saying "our RATS". And it just stuck.

I've actually added stupid lyrics to songs or just insert "rat or mouse" in place of words.

I don't really have any creative names for Cinder....I just call her fuzzbutt, bootiful, and Cinder-Block Blink

My cats are another story though... Nips is fathead or blubberbutt, Nonni is more often called The Great Nonnificus (or maybe just Nonnificus) or Prickle-Paws Anonymous. And Coco is PrettyKitty Coco.

My dog Nikki is better known as the Burr. Dunno why

As a group all of ours are called sweeties or sweetie-babes. Ben often is endearingly called my snugglebug. Dexter, Galloway and Ben are my big men or handsomes. Galloway is lovingly termed brillo-butt. Our twin black berks are our Budda-bellies. The littlest ones our smeeze twins are baby girls. Nothing really baby-like; just endearing terms -- even Budda-belly.

I call my boy Butters bubby. Hes my baby, and I used to call him that, but apparently it wasn't manly enough in front of the other man rats, so Bubby it is. The others are sweetie or sweetheart, but a lot of time its just their name or a variation.

The name for my group was and always will be The Boys.

Binky was Binkers, Bink, or when he was being extra cuddly Binky Winky Poo

Mr. Bojangles is usually just Bo but I've noticed a great increase in size since I got him as a baby and he's getting kind of blubbery and he aslo has that really flat body type instead of the nice round body type that most rats have so he waddles really funny. But yesterday I caught myself calling him lard butt because he was terrorizing my cat.

Yzerman - I've only had him for a few days so no cutesy names yet. Gotta wait until he learns is real name first but I often call him Yzer for short.

Shannahan - sam as above but his shortened name will be Shannie

Peaches and Cream became Peachy and Creamy..and now Peachykins and Creamybum

I also call them bratties. My new guy Jibroney has been called TeddyBear and FuzzyWuzzy many times because he just has this round little teddybear face.

They've all been called mooshie-rats many times

Collectively they are "Momma's Sweet Babies", "Baba-loos/Baba-louies" or "FurBabies/Furbys".

The boys all live in groups of 2's and have "as a pair" names, except our lone boy PEW Legolas, who is known as "Momma's Dirty White Boy", "Boob Boy", Leggy or "Leg O' Lamb."

The 2 rex boys are named after Lord of the Ring kings so they are always called "The Curly Kings". Also we call each one Brother(s) or "Brudder". Elessar, my almost 3 pounds of man rat, probably has the most nicknames: Ellie, Ellie Bellie, "Buddha Belly", "Bellers", "Tubba-wubbers", "Big Boy", "Butterball", "Snowball", "Cannon Ball", "Hefty Hefty Hefty"..... While Theoden is usually either Theo, Theoden King or "Momma's Best Boy" (only when none of the others can hear, 'tho wink

)

Isildur and Faramir are the "Boxing Buddies". Issy is sometimes known as "The Ebil One" and Fairi as "Mr. Whimpy"

Eomer and Eothaine are the "AY-O Boys". Or just Mere and Thaine.

Byron and Marcus are the "B-5 Boys". (Named after Babylon 5 characters)
They are also called the "Grabby Boys" as they will yank food dishes, fingers, hands, arms.... into their cage with gusto.
Individually they are By-By and Marky-Mark. Byron is a nekkid smeeze, so he also gets called "Smudge Butt" and "Brown Noser".
Marcus is "Stud Muffin" or "Handsome Man" as he has a soft, gorgeous, beige ticked/silvered, shiney, silky coat.

O'Connor and Ori are my "Ark Boys" (actually, Theo and Ellie are too but never get called that) Ori is a Champagne nekkid that never lost his baby fuzz so he's called "Peach Fuzz", "LPF" (Little Peach Fuzz) "Fuzzbutt", "Momma's Pink Boy". He has also been altered, so we make fun of the fact that he has little torpedoes. The nicest one I'll print here is "Eunuch Boy" Mr. Green

O'Connor is Connor, Connie, Con-Man, Con-Con, "Odd-Eyed Boy", "Pretty Boy", "Momma's Special Boy".

Spencer and Sinclair are the "S" Boys (not very creative, I know Rolling Eyes

Spencer is:"Momma's Sweet Little Rescue Boy", Spennie, Spence.
Sinclair is : Sinny, Sin-Sin, "Big Boy", or "Plague Rat". usually I just greet him with "Berkyyyyyy Bellllllllllyyyyyyyy!!!!!" and smooch all over his belly. He usually hides when he hears that. Shrug

The Girls are all in one cage and are collectively known as the "Han-yocks" (It's Polish or something for "Chicken Chaser", but my grandparents always called us that when we were wild and being spazzy)

Macha is "Macha Monkey", "Monkey Girl" or just "Monkey"
Fainne is "Faun-yock"
Ban Druidh (Dru) and Ban Sidhe (Shee) are the "Little Nekkid Girls" or just "Li'l Nekkids".
Dalriada is Dalri, "Cow girl" or "Black-n-White girl"
Taillte is just Taillte (doll-cha)
Orla is just Orla

And we're still working on names for the 2 new girls from Kim's Ark. Their foster Mom called them Lily and Charlotte, but we're trying to find suitable Celtic names. If we didn't have a theme, I'd probably stick with those names. Right now they are Fawn Face Girl and Rexxy Dumbo Berky Girl, or "The Ark Babies".

They all get called "Sweetie", "Sweet Pea" or "Bubbie" at one time or another
