Martins sells wire door latches and spring latches at their web-site.
I hope some of you can take a close up picture of these and how they work on your cage doors.....
I cant tell from the picture alone on the website if they will work for my cage....Thanks in Advance!

I went to take some pics, just for you.
Here is a picture of the latch closed. (model is Trinity )
Here is a picture of the latch opened.
I love these latches. They close securely, and are pretty easy to open. All you do is push the loop (the part that comes out from the actual hooked part) in, and the latch opens. Then, just push it back to close it.
Here is a picture of a spring.
The springs are simple to attach. You just place the top hook (above the spring) on a wire, and stretch the bottom hook down to catch on the base.
They would work for a door as well - just make sure to close the top hook tightly, as it is pretty sharp.

Oh My Gosh....You are such a doll.
Since I made my cage homemade....I have to buy latches.
From the photo's here....it looks like these would work just fine.
I couldn't see how they worked from the far away pictures.
I will just have to attach them to the door with zip ties.
I am already getting a larger cage....I have a buyer for my homemade one.
I love the look on the ratties face....
Alright with the camera already Mom! LOL!!!
I have just been closing the doors with zip ties....but I dont want to sell it that way.
