Close up Picture of Wodent Wheel??? |
|
Does anyone have a close up photo of a Wodent Wheel?
What I need to know is how it attaches to the cage?
I have been searching online but there are no photos of
how the wheel attaches to the cage wire.
TIA!

Hope these help. You don't have to attach them to the cage. i.e. you can use the base....as a well, a base . But we suspend ours from the celings.
We use either that garden wire or zip ties. You can leave the base attached and still remove the wodent wheel for cleaning.

Ahhhh...Yes, thank you so much Debbie!!!
I have already tried one wheel, only to find out it was not a match with my cage.
There was just no way I could attach it and the base kept falling off from the wheel.
So what I need to do is simply buy the real deal!
But I wanted to make sure it was a match first, since my cage is homemade LOL!
Do you remove it weekly to give it a good scrub?

Yep, we just remove the pin and washer off the front and pull the whole wheel out for washing. The wheel comes completely apart too, for easy cleaning in the sink.

Christy and Sondra have a wodent wheel but it has a base to it and its at the floor level....yes once a week scrub since your boys might sleep in it and hang out it in I would suggest twice a week scrub. Shaz

I found a large plastic wheel at Petland...a perfect size for rats..and it's all plastic with no gaps for their feet to fall through..it has an easy connector that clips onto the bars of the cage and also comes with a stand..it's about twice the size as a normal wheel..it works great...and it only cost me $10.

Penny...I have that wheel too...it did not work with my cage wires. So it is sitting outside in a plastic bag.
