 Hairless rat question? |

I am a new Rat Owner. I got Him from a pet store. The pet store did not tell me how long hairless rats live does anyone know? Also if I posted this in the wrong area forgive me all I'm new to forum chat! Thanks

Im not too sure about hairless rats...I heard they are prone to something that makes their lifespan shorter , but im not too sure.

Hairless rats can be prone to abcess' and ingrown hairs, but with the proper care, they can easily live as long as any other rat (2-3 years).
You should also look into getting him a companion. Rats are very social and do best in pairs (or bigger groups).
