Post HCB Forum POSTING RULES (Required Reading)
Please see the RP Site Rules for a complete review.

  • Before posting questions, look through the site links to the left, try a forum search, and read through the Sticky and Announcement topics. This will save you time in waiting for an answer, and save others repeating themselves. The links to the left are not visible if the forum is in Maximize mode. Switch to Minimize mode to make the links viewable.

"HELP!" & EMERGENCY POSTS
  • Your post title should reflect your post content. Titles of HELP and EMERGENCY don't tell us anything. Be specific.

  • When posting about an emergency, please remember that we are not vets and cannot diagnose over the internet, and that one of the first replies you will most likely get will be advice to take your animal to a vet (emergency or otherwise) right away. However, we will try to help if we possibly can.

"PLEASE READ!"
  • It is not necessary to include the words Please Reply, Please Post, PLEASE READ! etc. (in caps or not, with mulitple exclamation points or not) in the titles of your posts.

  • Your posts WILL be read. That's a fact. :)

  • Whether they'll be replied to within the next 10 seconds (or at all) has to do with who is online and when, who might have something (if anything) to contribute, and other such common sense factors.

  • Adding "PLEASE READ!" and the like to post titles does nothing but further "the boy who cried wolf" syndrome in regard to actual emergency posts.

RESPONDING TO HCB POSTS
  • We kindly ask that if you have no advice in response to an emergency post that you refrain from posting and raising any false hope.

  • We kindly ask that if you do have advice in response to either an emergency post or a health-related issue, make sure you can back it up with facts before possibly giving false or misleading information, or simply guessing and possibly confusing the issue.

Thank you. :)
