Help...New To Mice |
|
I do catering...strictly on site, At one of our frequently used locations, out in the middle of the desert i have come to know a little mouse i call Tanner. I have seen Tanner many times and she seems to be quite a brave little mouse, she'll do her major traveling along fences and such but does not seem to be afraid to scurry out into the open to check something out.
The last time i got a good look at her it seemed to me that her little cheeks were rather large, i couldn't tell if it was both sides or not.im wondering if mice store food in their cheeks to carry home and if that could be what i was seeing, i really don't want this little babe to be sick.
If anybody can tell me this is a possibility i would be very relieved as the thought of capturing the little girl is not something i look forward to. Also i don't know how to go about caring for mice. Help will be greatly appreciated.
I was at this site last night and saw no signs of my little Tanner, i am hoping there were just to many people for her to be comfortable with and that she is ok, i left some food in a hidy spot for her.

I'm guessing here, because I don't know anything about North American mouse species, but I imagine there are several different ones and some of those might have cheek pouches. None of the wild mice we have in the UK do, but I would think cheek pouches would be useful for an animal that lives in the desert. I hope your little wild mousie is ok.

I will be out in my little Tanner mouses territory today and was wondering if Reggie Rat food was an ok thing to leave as food for the little sweetie. I will of course leave some of whatever we are making but thought the rat food would hold up longer in case she doesn't get to it soon enough.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

I would have thought the Reggie Rat food would be fine. I can't imagine that it would do her any harm. I hope you see her again.
