 How many have grunty rats??? A poll |

Hey all,
Last week I mentioned Rikku made little grunting noises, but after talking to a fellow Rat Chatter whose rat did the same thing, I felt better. She only does it when she is sitting on me.....must be a contentment thing, like bruxing.
who all out there also has rats that grunt???

I have two "grunters". I have to admit, the sound makes me nervous and I've always wondered if it's a sign of illness.
With that said, Abby has grunted her whole life. Especially when she is running about and playful. The vet has listened to her lungs several times and says they are clear as a bell.
Our new little girl, Venus grunts too. She is a very very busy little bee and can really get herself worked up at play time. We go to the vet today for her first check up. If the grunting is anything more than normal, I'll relay that on to you.
But at least in our house, grunting is somewhat normal as long as it doesn't come along with sneezing and porphyrin.
