|
(I thought I had posted this earlier, but don't see it. Sorry if this is a duplicate, but it has updated info)
[quote author=Tracy link=topic=4001869.msg4014199#msg4014199 date=1138334898]
We need some help with the post care (neuters and spays) of the NY rats. So it's time for a raffle!
The winners will be able to pick their own prizes in order of winning tickets. You can only win once.
Tickets are $1 (one dollar) each. You can send paypal to kimsarkraffle@gmail.com. PLEASE email us at kimsarkraffle@gmail.com to tell us that you have sent payment. Paypal has skipped notices in the past and we don't want your payments to get lost! You can also email that address for instructions on where to send checks or money orders.
The winners will be drawn on March 4 in the Rats Rule chat room. If sending a check or money order, the last day to get them in is February 25. We'll contact you by email (or phone if preferred) and you'll have 72 hours to let us know your choice before we move onto the next winner.
We welcome international rafflers. We do ask that you pay for half the shipping cost if you win.
Prizes will be as follows:
A hammock pack made by Dearpie. Twelve hammocks in all. 9 small and 3 large hammocks. Prints to be linked later.
A custom clock by Menagerie. You can pick your own photo or one of the stock photos she has.
A $100 shopping spree at L.L. Bean donated by Kimmyizme.
A custom rat rock donated by Bluemoon
A custom rat bracelet by Sscorca19. You can see an example here.
One animal communicating session with Arlene donated by Arlene.
Another animal communicating session with Arlene donated by Jessiree.
A gift certificate for a custom bracelet by Suebee's Funky Chunky Rat Jewelry store.
A Martins powder coated R-670.
A cage makeover gift basket. This will include an igloo, hammock, flat-bac waterbottle, coop cups, yogies, and sleeping ledge.
A soy candle gift basket. You can pick 5 from the many scents that the Ark has. These candles don't produce the toxic carbon byproducts that paraffin candles do, last long (75-80 hours), produce little to no soot, and can be used as a non waxy, non greasy moisturizer.
A "human" gift basket with your choice of one of the shirts that the Ark carries, 2 cause bracelets, Tiptoe, the rat beanie baby, and a great book about shelters called No Voice Unheard.
A gift basket donated from Dru which comes with 2 stuffed rats, 2 wooden mice, a votive candle holder with small animals painted on it, a "rat snack" painted food dish, and a cute figurine with a napping cat and rat. Pics to come later.
A stationery gift pack with blank greeting cards and memo pads.
A wonderful wall quilt donated by Bratratbeds. You can see the quilt at the bottom of this page.
A $15 gift cert donated by Kittyrat for a personalized rattie rice necklace from her RicePaws Jewlery. You can see an example here.
A custom FRAMED PET MEMORIAL designed by Ratqueen. You can see an example here
A signed print of the cute painting that Redslurpee just auctioned.
A group of 5 hammock cubes sewed and being donated by Wonderrodent. You can see examples here.
A custom 9 x 12 caricature donated by SadCat

I'd love to enter, but what if we plan to be away when the raffle is being held?

Unless you're someplace really remote, I think it should work out... if there's any phone number we can contact you at wherever you'll be (or if you can still check your email while you're there), you have 72 hours from the time we email/call you to claim a prize.

Ok, I'm just not sure how you'll get a hold of me. I'll be cuddled away in a Disney resort in Florida, but I suppose if you knew which place I was at you could find a way to get hold of me, right?

Will you be able to check your email, phoenix? I'd think that would be sufficient...

I'm not sure if they have computers there (or how much they would cost to use!), and I use outlook to check mine, so i'm not too sure if I could check even with access to a computer

New prize! A rat pendant donated by Janet of Jagwear - http://www.jagwearjewelry.com/. I have a couple of these myself, they're really adorable.
Edit... it's actually not going to be a rat pendant, but some of Janet's pearl "rat turd" earrings. Janet says...

Thought I would send a pair of my fine silver rat turd ear threads (earrings). In case you haven't seen this style of earrings here is a link so you can get an idea. http://www.earthreads.com/ The pair I'm sending also has real ruby beads accenting the "turds". They are really quite pretty & the casting of the rattie turds look like silver fresh water pearls to the "untrained" eye LOL! |

Ok, I'll see if the 'rents have any clue about which room we'll be in. If not, then I'll see if I can get net access long enough to let you know the specifics once I arrive. I'd sure like to be a part of this, the prizes are great and I can't think of a better cause (except the 'help phoenix pay off her dad for the bloody horse' fund of course )
