Lepton has the beginnings of two more tumours showing--one on top of the old incision, and one under her arm on the same side. And since removing them ALL will be impossible... :*

that she will be with you for a while. It's so hard to watch them decline from those horrible lumps but I'm sure you will give her lots of love and attention. You are doing what's best for her.

Enjoy the sunset and all the colours Lepton will show you before she decides to go. Something tells me her sunset will be full of brilliant colours that fade slowly so you can enjoy them. Many scritches to Lepton.

I'm so sorry. In a way it's best that the decision was taken out of your hands, but it's so sad nevertheless. I agree with the others: you and Lepton enjoy her twilight time together, and when the time is right, you'll both know.

I'm sorry. She may have a good long while left yet, one of my does had a good 6 months after we found an inoperable tumour on her, so fingers crossed!

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. So many of you have been in the same place, I feel both so heartened and so sad.

I was ill yesterday (spent it alternating between sleeping and hurling), and Lepton didn't leave her box or eat until I was feeling better. I made us each a bowl of Cream of Wheat this morning, and she gave me a big ol' grin and gobbled it up. Gosh, I love that fuzzbutt. lurve
