 Linking Two Cages |

Alright...
I'm finally ready to put my girls together, but because Shadowcat has been so agressive, I want the option of separating them. I have two great cages that I'm thinking of linking together with ferrett tubes. Will this be secure enough or will those brilliant little rattie minds find a way to chew through it and destroy it? 
Has anyone ever tried this and has it worked? I'd love some advice!

I'm actually in the process of figuring out how to do this with my two Martin's R695 cages. I know I can do it by stacking them but prefer them to be side-by-side so they can stay on the table. :/
