Martin's? |
|
so what exactly is so good about a Martin's that makes it the best ideal cage to buy? as opposed to cages at, say, futurepets or petsmart, etc....?

Generally Martins cages have the propper spacing, size, etc. which alot of other cages don't (most of the ones at Petsmart have 1"x2" spacing, or are tiny). They are well constructed, and you can get them powder coated.

I also am going to be ordering a Martins cage in the near future. I am just torn between the 685 and the 695... we have 3 girls and don't plan on adding any more... but bigger is always nicer...
(I actually love the cage that we modified to bits, but it reeks like rat urine soooo badly... I am DESPERATELY hoping that a Martins cage will solve our smell issues.)

Also, if anyone here has ordered one in Canada, and had it shipped to Canada... Can you please let me know how much either of those cages came to, in Canadian funds? (I'm scared of what the cost is going to be.)

you can actually select a cage, add it to the cart and proceed to checkout and they'll ask for your zip, enter it and it will give you a total w/ shipping...but until you go to the next step, you haven't bought it yet....try that ; 0)

Thank you!! I didn't know that.
We figured out it will cost about $210 for a R-695... and from the way everyone raves about these cages on here, hopefully it will be worth it.

You know... as much as I generally like my girls' cage, I much prefer Harry's. It's a ferret cage by Martin's, and the spacing is 1"x1", so it wouldn't be appropriate for everyone, but it's very roomy and it's just so easy to clean. Of course, it wouldn't have been suitable for my girls, because they're climbing demons, but Harry likes his short and fat cage, and I looooove cleaning it. The girls' cage takes four or five times as long to clean.

Yay, I just ordered my R-695... Now the waiting game for it to get here.
My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts, this is now the 3rd 'improvement' cage I've bought the girls. Hopefully this one will be the keeper.
