 Mistletoe made a run for it! |

I opened the little tower thing to see if Holly had any babies yet (she didn't), and instead of diving down the tube as she usually does, Mistletoe made a leap and was gone! I made a quick grab for some papers to stuff under the crack of the door so she couldn't escape my office tehn went searching. I found her huddled under my african violet stand and managed to scare her into an extra tunnel. I capped my hand over it, praying she wouldn't bite me, and returned her to her cage. She seemed grateful to be back and quickly lost that glazed fearful look in her eyes. Hopefully the four foot drop onto the hardwood floor, and the big, scary unknown will convince her not to try that again. Back to the wheel....

Oh no! I'm glad she's alright. I used to have a heck of a time catching my gerbils if they ever escaped, I can't even imagine trying to corner and catch a mousie, seems like those guys can move!
