Monsters!!! |
|
So, I got up this morning for work in plenty of time, no rush, gave all the rats their breakfast, gave Spook her antibiotics and checked her bandage. Then I showered, had a leisurely cup of coffee, watching the birds and squirrels in the garden, got dressed for work, not hurrying in the least. Just about to head out of the door, one last check on the rats, to discover that at some time in the previous half hour the monster girlies (Imp, Sprite, Demon and Gremlin) had pulled down their water bottle and chewed through it, so that half their litter was soaked and they had no water. I had to put them in their carry cage while I cleaned out the soaked litter, put in some fresh stuff and installed a new water bottle. Went to put them back in the cage to discover that they had had a poo fest in their carry cage and they seemed to have been wrestling in it. They were covered in poo and, by the time I got them back in their cage, so was I. So, by now running quite late, I had to go and change my clothes.
I swear the little buggers were laughing at me!

My sympathies...this weekend my dog stepped in a pile of doo in the yard, then tracked it all over the house. I had to clean both the carpet and his foot for an hour. The rat poopie-foot has struck here before too - so icky! I hope your little monsters lay low and don't pull any more stunts like that! Fiendish she-devils.

If you had nicknamed them "The Sweet Little Rats Who Never Do Anything Wrong" you'd have been to work on time today. But nooooo! You had to nickname them the RMD's!

They always pick the worst times to make trouble. As Victor says, they are aptly named the RMD's!

Doh! Yup, always when you least expect it! I feel your pain as Jason and I were up with a sick dog all night. (He's fine now, his ham bone just didn't settle well with his tummy.)

Well, I was relying on the usual perversity of rats to work in my favour. I thought with names like that they would be bound to be little angels. But I forgot that rats are also very intelligent. They obviously saw through my little ploy and perversely decided to live up to their names instead.
