My 2 rats |
|
So I have 2 adult rats (Oreo and Almond) and they've out grown their cage. Right now it's a pitiful 10 gallon tank with a wire 3 level extention that barely doubles the size, so obviously I need a new cage. I need cage suggestions for my 2 babies and possibly a 3rd if i wish it. Thet are very very energetic and my price limit is $125. So if anyone can help me...?
Thanks in advance!

Try Martins Cages, I heard that they were really great. They have lots of large cages that are really cheap for their size! www.martinscages.com

I made my cage for $110 (about), and it is enourmous. You can see pics here .
If you want I can PM you details about how I made it.
An R-695 would also be nice, but my cage is a ton bigger (nope, not bragging)

Well guess what? We were at Petco and we saw a clearance cage so we got that... it's a Marchioro Small Animal Cage, only one level but they still climb in it and if anyone knows what it looks like just wondering how many rats would fit in it?

Take the dimensions to any of the various rat cage calculators and enter them in, then it'll tell you how many rats it can hold.
Edit--looking at the Marchioro cages on Petco.com, I'd say it's probably big enough for two (but no more), and I'd strongly suggest you make shelves for it so that they have platforms to hang out on.
