I'll put three sesame seeds in the girl meece cage, or 3 piece of grape or apple or 3 of ANYTHING so they each have one. Instead of everyone getting their own piece, they all fight over the first piee..and then all fight over the second piec.e.and then all fight over the third piece. Then continue hunting around for more!

They squeak at eachother, and pounce eachother, jumped through the holes of their boxes to preemptively strike at the meece with the food..honestly it's the funniest thing ever Mr. Green

Anyone elses' meeces do this?

*Nods* I think they think that if it was worth taking out, it must be better. Meece are so deficient in brains LOL

I don't have mice, but the rats do that. Does that they are only as smart as mice Thud

Mine do the same thing..~_~ I make little bread balls for them and they fight like there is no end.

They play tug of war ,kick, squeek..the works.

Its pretty hilarious though

My rats do the same thing.

Some only want the food if someone else is eating it. (sigh)

Sounds just like children - when me and my sister were kids, my mum had a rule when it came to dividing things. One cut/counted/separated things, the other chose which portion/pile to have. Was the only way to ensure that things were divided equally and we wouldn't start yelling "She's got more than me!!!" LOL

My rats DON'T do this surprisingly. I always put a huge bowl of *whatever* in their treat dish. They know what the treat dish is and it goes in the same place everyt ime. There is never any fighting or anything....especially not over yummies, since they can just go get their own.

The only time I ever seen any real treat grabbing is when one of the bigger ones think they can steal Sammy's treat (my itty bitty wittle dumbo blue rex) but he uses his size and stealth to (at their great dismay) simply walk out of the cage, eat it outside of the cage, then go back into the cage like 'haha. You suck. I'm small so pfft!
