Well, when I saw the little white one, I automatically thought of the name Bartholomew... I dunno why. And the other, he looks like a Moeki. (mo-key) I can't explain it, but that's who they look like to me.

well I was thinking about theme names
anyone have some good ones?

I don't have any ratties to name right now but my boyfriend is going to get a few soon
My girls have a car theme, but im getting tired of that one
so far we have been through
Honda (died), Acura, Mercury, Saturn and Mazda (gave to friends that wanted them), Elantra (had to take back to the store because she was sick when we bought her) and Scion

Dana was thinking about volcanoes
like Vesuvius, Skaptar, Pelée, Etna, or Merapi

I like those, too. I plan to keep my "guitarist" theme going. Jimi Hendrix, Hendrix. The guitartist for Bon Jovi, Sambora. (According to my mom, I'm not into Jovi.)

Richie Sambora is the Bon Jovi guitarist. Also did some solo stuff.

And BOY I feel old now, because I am a big Bon Jovi fan, have all their albums and started listening to them in the 80s. Your mom??? Faint

You will have to call one Slash (from Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver) though (or Hudson - his real surname) because he is the best guitarist ever. Then you have (Brian) May, (Jo) Satriani, (Steve) Vai, (Nuno) Bettencourt, (Ace) Frehley, (Jimmy) Page, (Tony) Iommi, (Eddie) Van Halen, to name but a few. wink

I tried the theme names with Darwin and Newton (obviously scientists - I originally wanted a couple of black and white boy cats (then rats) called Crick and Watson... they were blue and agouti though, so I wanted different names) but the pair of them were eternally known as Baby and Monkey - so in all honesty, I let them pick their own names now. Sooner or later, they soon figure out what they want to be called. wink

I don't know, pick a theme that has a meaning to you, I guess. If you like art, go with artists or colors or paint types, or if you like sports go with names of your favorite players. My boyfriend and I are naking all of ours after roleplay characters (like from Dungeons and Dragons campaigns), or after fantasy characters we've created.

Hi guys!

I'm getting a couple of new baby girls from Jess at the DRAC rattery.. I'm so excited.. here is a few pics of them:

beige cape (with spots over each eye) dumbo

AND

a beige blaze dumbo (its hard to see in this pic, but she is a blaze!)

I'm so excited.. what should I call them? I have so many rats I'm running out of ideas for names! lol.. what do u all think? thanks!

I might rename Raoul (I found out 2 days ago that I was pronouncing it wrong Embarassed

) so maybe that is a sign for me to change it, but if I do I need suggestions.

I was thinking KamioKande (or Kamio for short), after the Japanese neutrino oscalation detector.

I've found that I usually use people names or something from a play or comic book for boys and I tend to name females after objects or words.

Now that I have 3, I want to have a theme. I was thinking of scientists. Maybe Darwin (Raoul), Galileo (Firmin), and Newton (Andre).

My mom insistes that there names are minnie, moo, and madge (from the Minnie and Moo series Shrug

Ick, minnie, moo, and madge for boys? I would use something more orgininal than the scientists theme. What about Polonius, Francisco, and Horatio? (names from the play Hamlet)
