 New Mouse! |

Hey all! I brought home my new mousey. I got suckered into taking her off the science department at school's hands. She's just a common PEW, but she has lovely big ears. She is soon to be joined by another girly Saturday, a pretty girl from Britt. I can't wait! The new mouse doesn't have a name... They called her "Bam".  That's not sticking. She doesn't even look like anything! Name wise, I mean. She's pretty hand tame, and she isn't too nervous. So far she's delightful. She came home in a small green carrier, and now she's in a nice aquarium. I think she likes her new home.

It's no problem. I think my main purpose is to give homes to all the furries who need them. LOL I try! I don't think there was any huge experiments performed on the mice there... I think what she was used for was a dumb one: Who runs more in a night, a hamster, a rat, or a mouse? She was the mouse I guess. I have no idea where the hamster or rat are that were involved in there. You'd think those would be the ones they'd come to me about, everyone knows I have tons of hamsters and of course the boys. Ah well. As long as nothing bad happened to them... I should ask around. I think I'm going to do that. Anyway, I got some better pics of the girly, and she has a name now. I'll call her, Gillian. I like it. LOL It's a cute name. Any way, here are the pics!

LOL! I didn't forget about my other likkle girl! I'll be posting pics of her soon, and even more when she gets here. I think after school I should be able to load the ones of her onto here, also I have to do the boys, as they got new pics taken yesterday. Can't leave them out!

Rosie, that's my favorite pic, too! I love her little face. Here's "John Blaze's Orange Blossom" aka Blossom, aka Arianna. She's named after the song, John Blaze. Anybody hear that one? It's an Aaliyah song... So you know I know it. LOL. Get it, blazed mouse, John Blaze? Oh I'm just genius. Ok, here's her pics! More to come when she gets home!

Good pics! As for the experiment, I guess if the school felt the need to do one, it was a benign one. And actually, I'd be interested to see how it panned out. Of course, it's not very scientific with such a small pool of participants, but still interesting.
As for you getting the "left over" mouse, I'll bet the other critters were just perceived as being better pet material by the adopters, which leaves you the lucky one to get such a cute mouse!

Thanks, Wade. I asked where the other two went to and I didn't get an answer I liked that much. I'll just say there's a rather large, happily fed snake in the science department too. I also asked about the experiment, and the hamster ran the most. That's because hamsters are a little nutso, and they like to run. The rat didn't run at all, and the mouse ran, then stopped, ran, then stopped. Not as much as the hamster ran, of course. I could have told them who would have ran the most, that's pretty much a no brainer to any one whose had all three before. Bah, stupid school.
Rosie, I'll be calling her Arianna. Britt calls her Blossom because of her name on the papers. Either or, really.

Well, Arianna (beautiful name) is staying with me overnight. I do not have another water bottle, so I have to use a dish, but she has a box, toilet paper roll, and Suebees. Are there any other toys I can give her? She is in a 10 gallon.

Just about anything she can climb up, into, or onto. Dangling ropes and branching sticks from non-toxic trees can make more use of an aquarium's vertical space.
