Post new to mice advice please???
My younger sister is heavily pregant and has three white mice. my mother has said that she has to take them out of her room because the baby will be sleeping in there. My brother is really allergic so my mum has asked me to have them I have five rats but don't really know much about mice. What are the important things I need to know? What do they eat, litter? do they smell? what can't you feed them? I don't want to bother my mum with it at the moment because she has enough on her plate... My sister has just turned seventeen!!!!

Please help sorry for the ramble!!!

Congrats on your new mice! Mice are great and just as smart and affectionate as rats, in my opinion.

A good website for mice is http://www.horns.freeserve.co.uk/mouse.htm or do a search on Angela Horn to bring up the site.

In alot of ways mice are the same as rats, same food, litter should be recycled newspaper pellets.

One really important thing - dont let your rats near the mice, they may kill them.

Enjoy your new friends,

Have no idea what Biocatolet is but recycled newspaper pellets are the best thing to put them on and it absorbs smells really well!

biocatolet is cat litter made from newpaper pellets but with a really good oder control. lots of people keep their rats on it. it's dust free and has a nice smell but can be quite expensive
