im always looking for ways to improve my Ratties lifestyle

so any suggestions people may have would be fully appreciated

i have 5 large cages and 2 small cages to house my girls

these are two of the cages....the blue wire one is 2 bird cages i modified...i put the 2 cages on top of each other...removed the wire flooring to make a larger higher cage

they have several hammocks but its pretty boring really....any suggestions

the flatter wider cage houses the babies and has a hammock and several toys not too bad but any advise/ideas???

the other cages are works in progress and are still being adapted (Not pictured)

the 2 small cage are for travel/ quaranteen ( not pictured)

Hmmm. Wish I could help but i'm finding myself stuck with this whole cage design thing too. My cabinent is huge and it seems so empty. It's hard to decorate it without the use of heavy duty hard ware.

Maybe get one of those run around balls or one of those nest type things and hang it in the corner instead of one of the hammies. Or rig up some large pvc pipe (cheaper and easier than trying to find rat sized habitrails) to one of the sides for the ratties to crawl around in.

I think that cage is gorgeous...what a pretty color!

Sorry I am not much help! My cage is rather bare too.

ROPE!!!! LOTS OF ROPE!!!! (and zip ties)

Did you see the maze thread? It gets kind of tense at times but stick with it, there is some good stuff in there. That and it all gets worked out in the end…

I have several pix of my cage in there and it kind of started out like yours is. You will see what i am talking about by rope too (but you have to make it past my stupid smily post)
