Sneezes + Vibramyacin? |
|
Emma has been sneezing more and more lately, I have alot of Vibramyacin left over from when Harley was sick. Would putting Emma on vibra.,knock the sniffles out and save a trip to Dr. Mike?
thanks.

You might want to call your vet and make sure. So long as you already have meds, it probably won't be a problem for you to use them without bringing Emma in, you just want to be sure that they are still good and exactly what dose you are supposed to give. Most are based on weight, so be sure to weigh your baby before you call to give the vet some information to work with.

It's really not recommended to start treating with meds that were prescribed for someone else. At least phone the vet and ask. You will, as Lydelia stated, need the weight of the rat and the strength of the tablets to give that info to whoever you speak to at the vets, but it's really worth speaking to them as to what they would recommend. An antibiotic that is suitable for one infection may not be appropriate for another one - even if they have the same symptoms.
