Speedy Chinchilla cage ready for ratties! |
|
Just finished decking out the Speedy Chinchilla cage. Monster cage 1m x 1m x 55cm! I put newspaper on the wire base and covered well with the EcoBed (will see if the newspaper makes it niffy or not). Their poop tray will go in one of the corners and hopefully they will stick to using it!
Frontal view
Rope, ratball and a VW bug too!
Ferplast corner with Winnie the Pooh hat from a car boot sale - they will rip the lining to shreds then burrow inside no doubt - held in place with monster paper clips so they can't throw it around!
View from far end with Wodent Wheel and another Ferplast shelf
Top view with fleecy hammock and ropes
I've not put them in it yet, they're still in their intermediate cage but OOOHHH so tempting now!!

It looks great! I'd like to know how you like the eco-bedding, because I hate it! It doesn't have any odor control whatsoever.

Well it's my first time with EcoBed so the jury is still out - I've got a 22kg bale to get through too I change the litter pan every day and also pick out any other damp bits of it so hopefully the niff will be to a minimal! But if I had to switch back to BioCatolet it'd be so expensive cos I need so much bedding now for a bigger cage!
Tags, the cage was £99 inc VAT with free delivery from ForBirds.com (http://www.forbirds.com/cages/cages_small/556.htm). Save up a tenner a month and it's yours by August!!!
