RE: Suitable Mouse cage? |

While the cage appears large, it really doesn't have much floor space. Additionally, with a cage that tall, you are bound to have dropping and or urine fall out and make a mess. Plus, those cages with pull out drawers always seem to get urine and or water stuck in the crack between the tray and the base itself, even if you take the wire grate out of the bottom (which you should if there is one.)
Much better would be a cage of approximately the same dimensions, or larger, but in horizontal form with maybe one platform and open room for other climbing structures such as tree branches or ladders.
Something along the lines of this, but you'd want to check it out more closely. This is just the first picture I could find.

Thanks for your response Wade. Do you know what company makes those cages? I've been looking around online for different styles and such but am having no luck. I checked out the local pet stores yesterday and they all carry cages that have multi levels. I've never seen cages around here (or online) like the ones in the pic. Further info would be appreciated

Prevue-Hendryx. I found it on their web site, but have seen it in person somewhere back before I had mice. Good luck with your mice.
