The cage calculator |
|
I think I am a bit confused by the calculator, I've only used the UK one but the Ratz R Us calculator seems more acurate.
When it asks for base width, does it mean the length of my base? Or the actual width? If width, then what does depth mean?
Same for the shelves I suppose. :/ Could someone explain it to me?
My measurements on my cage (we just connected a second cage to our first tonight, they are both the same cage, we just took out a side panel on each and reconnected them with C rings to form one HUGE cage.)
-60 inches long, 30 inches tall, 14 inches deep.
I have two shelves, they are 14 long, 14 deep.
And one shelf that is 60 inches long, 14 deep.
So, can someone tell me what to put in, please?

Depth is from front to back, width is from side to side...

I believe base width means the width of the largest level, which coincidentally is usually the base, or lower level. So base width would be the floor measurement side to side (not the size of the tray, the general size of the biggest floor), and depth is front to back.
