Waterbottle Suggestions |
|
Well, I think it's time to get my rats a new water bottle. The one I have now is leaking and not very good quality. Any suggestions on a good water bottle?
I know that a lot of people here like the waterbuddies brand, that you order online, but I saw that they were pretty expensive If it's worth it, I'll pay for it, but I just want some feedback. Thanks.

I've always used Critter Canteens you can get from Petsmart and most pet stores. They are blue and come in a vaiety of sizes and are relatively inexpensive. I have had the same ones for the past two years or so and have not had a problem with them.

I like the Lixit glass water bottles, even if I can hear them while asleep I think they are about $6 online.

Are they really annoyingly loud, or just slightly noisy?

Just the regular "clickety click click" of the ball bearing sound. It doesn't really wake me up. I tried the bottles with the little levers in them (I think these are the water buddies), but although I loved them, the rats never figured them out. hmmmm. I could have tried harder to teach them I suppose. I do feel the glass is best for water. I'm always afraid plastic is leaching nasty stuff into the water.

I have the Lixit glass bottles too and I love them. They are SO easy to get really clean and they don't leak as much as other bottles I've had. I don't even notice the clickity click sound...I've just tuned it out. It sounds like every other water bottle out there.
