What to feed in between Suebees |
|
I am almost out of my first batch of Suebees, and I might not be able to get more for a few days. What can I feed them in between those batches that would be nutritionally balanced?

Honestly, when I run out of Suebees I just give them what ever is laying around. How long are you talking about though? If it is just 2 or 3 days, then I would give them a staple diet of the dog food they normally get (which is balanced enough for a few days), along with some uncooked pasta, cereal that you have (as long as it is not that sugary), and tons of fresh food.
The dog food has the basic protein, carbs, and some of vitamins/minerals. Pasta adds variaty, and some vitamins/minerals (depending on what kind you give them). Cereals like Total are full of vitamins, and the rats love them. Immunewise and Flaxplus are also pretty healthy (you can get them in the health food section of Kroger).
The fresh foods obviously have a wide range of benefits (did that make sense?). I remember reading that spinach has alot of vitamin K (like soybeans), and I think that bananas, most greens (not lettuce), and sweet potatoe are really healthy.
