Post Where did you get your Terenziani in the U.S.?
My cage is a bit small for four ratloaves. It is a Terenziani Michelangelo:
http://www.terenziani.it/small_animal/canovamichelangelo.html.
I was hoping I could find the Canova, which is the single-level version of my cage, so I could stack it on top and have three levels for my boys, but I cannot find it anywhere! U.S. people, especially California people, do you recall where you purchased your last Terenziani cages from? The Bunny Lady is trying to locate the U.S. distributor, but if you happen to
recall if you've ever purchased any in the U.S., I'd appreciate it!

Oh, and to add confusion, my cage is labelled with a plate that has both the Terenziani and Superpet labels, so I'm not sure if they are the same company, or Superpet imports from Terenziani, or what!

Thanks anyone!

Oh, and in case I can't find it, I am going to buy a whole new cage and give mine to rat rescue. Looking at Martin's Cages. Have any of you used a Ferret cage for rats? I like the idea of PVC coating. But the ferret ramps look at little steep. I am sure it's fine now, but when they are ol' men I don't think it'll be so hot!

So, my top choices are:
The Ferret Villa (F-435)
The Ferret Highrise (F-430HR)
The Rat Skyscraper (R-695)

I know quite a few of you have the R-695, so it must be good...

Hm, now that I look again, I think the angles on the rat ramps are about the same steep! And what is this about the "carpeted balcony" on the ferret cages? Sounds like a smelly pee trap to me! Bleggah!

And is the wire spacing on the ferret cages too big for baby rats (ummm... just in case?)?

Oh, one final question--do Martin's Cages assemble by sliding a support wire down each corner (like Terenzianis), or do you have to bend a wire around at multiple places on each corner (like Superpet cages)?

I can't help with the Terenziani cages, but I do have a Martins R-695. The levels aren't steep, and my oldies haven't had any trouble getting up or down them.

The cage is broken down into pieces for shipping. I think my 695 arrived in 3 parts. It came with a package of C-clips and a tool to put them on with. Many people say not to bother with the C-clips, and to use zip ties instead. I think it's preference or depends if the rats are chewers.

Good luck with the cage search. :)
