Post Whoo! My cage is here!
I ordered the Rudd 699 Martins cage almost 3 weeks ago. It was on backorder, so I had to suffer and wait for it to arrive. It was a long three weeks, but it finally came in today! Mr. Green Putting it together nearly gave me a stroke, I was so frustrated trying to keep the sides up and together until I could wire it together as it was so bulky and big. At some points I was standing IN the cage (as I'm only about an inch taller than it, so I fit inside it nicely!) trying to hold it up and clasp it together. For an hour I did this without much luck getting it to look right, and suddenly realized something was wrong. No matter what I did, the ramps weren't coming together right. Two ramps ran into eachother, and there was a level which didn't even have a ramp! I finally figured out that there was a mistake made when they made the cage and one of the balconies had one ramp too many. So I had to pull the clasps off and stick that ramp onto the balcony that had the missing ramp. So, two and a half hours later, my girls have a huge new cage that they absolutely adore! I love love love it, it's so roomy for them! Sugar was actually bouncing off the walls in excitement as she tore up and down it, it was rather funny! I just had to share, I'm so happy with my new cage. :)
