OMG! I can´t believe what has happened to me. I´m getting a new little rattie, maybe 2 Crossed Fingers

, in Mexico! I had no idea that I would get even one rattie! My dad totally suprised me with them. I don´t have them yet but I´m going to get them on Monday! I´m so happy I could cry! Heart

But there´s a down sideto it too. When I leave Mexico I´ll have to either give them to someone else or set them free Sad

Oh what am I supposed to do! ScratchHead

Anyway, I´m just wondering what condition they will be in because last time I was there to originaly get them they had scabs on their stomachs. What causes that? But he was so gentle and sweet I almost could have gotten him. He acted as if he belonged to me. But they said they were going to get in new ones with different colors like black, brown, white, and others, I think.
Oh, i almost forgot, I need help with names. So far I´ve thought of Basil for a girl( I need one more name) and Mustache for a boy( need another name). I need all the help I can get.

SET THEM FREE? ? ? If you have a choice, wait until you get back to the states then you don't have to worry about giving them up. If you get a boy and a girl, do not keep them together. Babies will happen. If you are going to get two, get two of the same gender.

You didn't mention how old you are.

I think she's not sure whether she's getting boys or girls (thus why she needs another name for both).

How long will you be in Mexico? It might be best to see if you could foster a rattie rather than getting your own if it will only be for a short time. Please, PLEASE do not set them loose, if they're domestic rats they will most likely die. If these are by some chance wild rats that a petstore is selling, I'd certainly be wary of getting them.

Thank you for sending me a Private Message. It does my heart good to know you have made the decision to wait until you are back in the states to get a rat. You will not be disappointed. Once they have worked their way into your heart it is hard to give them up.
