I did a floor-only cleaning today (mostly just replacing litter and bedding, usually do this 1/2way between regular full cleanings) and Yoli woke up. After I replaced everything she had to go around and explore, and I petted her with one finger every once in a while. Finally it got to where I could leave my whole hand in the cage and she'd climb over it like it was a new toy, sniffing, and trying to chew once.

She is soooooo shiny, like the finest-ever velvet, and feels like a dream, like baby's hair but even smoother and better.

Well, I sort of touched Crazy last night, too! She was -- well, nevermind what she was doing, suffice to say I am now 100% certain she's an alien life form sent here specifically to drive me batty -- but she saw me and froze in the tube between the two cages, so I put my hand in the big cage and talked to her. She looked at it curiously and I moved it closer to her, finally getting my fingers near her face, sort of under her face in a non-threatening way (I thought). She looked down at my fingers, then (the following all happened in 1/8 a nanosecond AND simultaneously) slapped me with her hands as if she were stomping on a bug, nose-butted and bit, shrieked and disappeared! What a freak.

I know that if she gets the chance, she will happily eat my eyeballs. Sad

Anyone else would be satisfied with normal mice, but not you. Oh no, you have to get really weird mice!
